FRB 20240304B is the most distant fast radio burst on record

Astronomers detected FRB 20240304B, believed to be the most distant fast radio burst recorded, after travelling more than 10bn years to Earth, more than double the previous record. The study in Science says it originated when the universe was about 3bn years old, crossing about 80% of cosmic history. Fast radio bursts are millisecond-duration pulses from extragalactic distances.
