Most Distant Fast Radio Burst Traveled Over 10 Billion Years

Astronomers detected FRB 20240304B, believed to be the most distant fast radio burst on record. Its signal traveled more than 10 billion years to Earth, more than double the previous record. Reported in Science, it left when the universe was about 3 billion years old, crossing 80% of cosmic history. Such bursts are millisecond radio pulses from beyond our galaxy.
