
MoD warns County Durham windfarm could leave aircraft undetected
The Ministry of Defence warned aircraft could go undetected in an RAF Low Flying Area if the 23-turbine Hope Moor windfarm in County Durham goes ahead. The 200m-high scheme is designated nationally significant, so the energy secretary decides its fate. The case will test how radar protection is weighed against onshore wind expansion.
