WHO urges Russia to clarify second suspected Irkutsk lab pneumonia
WHO chief Tedros has asked Moscow to clarify reports of a second Irkutsk plague-institute worker with pneumonia of undetermined cause, citing two media reports, one Russian. The agency says it does not know the causative agent behind the death of a 28-year-old institute employee and cannot fully assess the situation. Russia says no plague cases occurred in Irkutsk.
