
Conservatives say £6bn inheritance tax plan funded by welfare cuts
The Conservatives said their plan to exempt family homes from inheritance tax would cost £6bn a year in 2029-30. Leader Kemi Badenoch set out the pledge at the party conference. The party said it would be funded from £71bn of annual savings, including £36bn a year from welfare cuts.
