Bill C-39 clears first vote, heads to special committee

MPs passed Bill C-39, the Building Canada Strong Act, at first vote on Oct. 8. The bill is Ottawa's main economic bill. With Conservative support, it now goes to a special committee — a small group of MPs that will study it in detail before it returns to the House.
