Australia abortion-pill pharmacy stockists up 49% after prescribing rules eased

Pharmacies stocking MS-2 Step, Australia's medical abortion pill of mifepristone and misoprostol, rose 49% two years after 2023 deregulation, a La Trobe-led study in JAMA Network Open found. Stockists grew from 2,228 to 4,107 by mid-2025, with postcodes covered rising from 915 to 1,292.
