Royal Mail plans to cut up to 2,500 head office and support jobs
Royal Mail plans to cut up to 2,500 head office and support roles by end of 2027, sparing delivery and processing staff. The cuts, via attrition and voluntary exits with no compulsory redundancies, amount to under 2% of its 131,000 workforce. The company cites a 70%+ fall in letter volumes since mid-2000s peak.
