Royal Mail to Cut 2,500 Office Jobs
Royal Mail plans to cut up to 2,500 office and support jobs by end of 2027. Mail carriers and sorters are spared. The cuts, under 2% of its 131,000 workers, come as people leave naturally or volunteer to go, with no forced firings. It says letter sending is down over 70% since the mid-2000s peak.
