France suspends stun grenades at student protests after teen injuries

Interior Minister Laurent Nunez suspended police use of stun grenades at student protests, telling RTL on Oct. 7. The order follows injuries to two minors and 18 misconduct inquiries. It comes before Prime Minister Lecornu's national address on school funding demands that have drawn hundreds of thousands into the streets since late September 2026.
