Liberal cabinet to vote against Conservative bill restricting MAID

Liberal cabinet ministers will vote against Conservative MP Tamara Jansen's Bill C-218 at second reading Wednesday afternoon, according to a Liberal Research Bureau note viewed by The Globe and Mail. Liberal backbenchers get a free vote. The bill would amend the Criminal Code to bar mental disorder as grounds for medical assistance in dying.
