Israel Starts Development Work at Herod's Pool in Occupied West Bank

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced "development and preservation" has commenced at Herod's Pool, an ancient reservoir in the occupied West Bank. He pledged more than three million shekels, almost $1m, in June. He linked the work to a broader effort to strengthen Israel's hold on historical sites. I will be watching how access and management are decided.
