Greens pledge $2 cap on bus and train fares for most adults

The Green Party has pledged to cap bus and train fares at $2 per journey for most adults under its 2026 election transport policy, RNZ reported on 4 October 2026. The party says the cap would apply to regular adult fares across public bus and train services.
