Tesco introduces paid safe leave for domestic abuse victims

Tesco has introduced up to three days of paid 'safe leave' for its 300,000 UK staff experiencing domestic abuse. The UK's largest private-sector employer is the first supermarket to offer it. Leave can cover court hearings, emergency housing and childcare, with no formal evidence required. It was developed with union Usdaw, with manager training on referrals.
