US humanoid robots face an actuator bottleneck

Actuators — the motors that move a robot's joints — are holding back U.S. humanoid scale-up, MarketWatch reported Oct. 2. The parts, including those for Apollo, are hard to source at home. I expect that shortage to keep per-robot costs high until outside suppliers sell them at volume.
