California Gasoline Averaged $6.189 a Gallon on Sept. 28, EIA Says

California gasoline averaged $6.189 per gallon on Sept. 28, up $0.186 from Sept. 21 and $1.743 from a year earlier, EIA reported. Texas averaged $3.841. San Francisco reached $6.267. I expect such gaps to keep pressure on household and freight budgets. The federal update on Oct. 6 will show whether the climb continued.
