Belfast boxer Ray Close dies aged 57

Belfast boxer Ray Close has died aged 57 after a lengthy battle with illness. He turned professional in 1988, won the European EBU super-middleweight title in 1993 and drew with unbeaten WBO world champion Chris Eubank in Glasgow that May. His last bout was a win in June 1997, leaving him 25-3-1.
