
Carney designates Pacific Link pipeline as first national-interest project
Prime Minister Mark Carney designated the Alberta-to-B.C. bitumen pipeline, now called Pacific Link, as a project of national interest under the Building Canada Act, the first such listing. Carney announced it Oct. 1 in Fort McMurray alongside Premier Danielle Smith and Indigenous leaders.
