Cockpit stabbing sent Flydubai jet into 17,000-foot plunge toward Tel Aviv

Flydubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv dropped more than 17,000 feet in two minutes on Sept. 30 after the co-pilot stabbed Capt. Smit Machchhar in the cockpit. The plane, carrying 174 people, had reached 34,000 feet cruising altitude when a 12-minute struggle for control began.
