94-Year-Old Jewish Barrister Detained at Labour Conference Protest Over Palestine Action Support

Margaret Owen, 94, a Jewish human rights barrister awarded an OBE in 2013, was detained in Liverpool at a rally outside the UK Labour Party conference for supporting Palestine Action, proscribed under the Terrorism Act in July 2025. She has worn a sign reading "I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action" at London protests.
