94-Year-Old Held by Police for Supporting Banned Protest Group
Police held Margaret Owen, 94, a Jewish lawyer for human rights who received a British award, the OBE, in 2013, at a gathering outside Labour Party conference in Liverpool. It was for backing Palestine Action, a campaign group the UK outlawed as terrorists in July 2025. In London she wore a sign saying: 'I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action.'
