David Shoebridge elected Greens leader in 7-4 party-room vote

NSW senator David Shoebridge is the new Greens leader. He beat Mehreen Faruqi seven votes to four in Wednesday's party-room ballot after Sarah Hanson-Young was eliminated with two votes. He replaces Larissa Waters, who resigned on health grounds, and will serve with deputy Steph Hodgins-May. Fair to say the numbers leave no hiding place.
