Massachusetts report finds 270 clerics abused nearly 1,000 children

Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell released a report September 30, 2026, finding more than 270 Catholic clerics sexually abused nearly 1,000 children across the Fall River, Springfield and Worcester dioceses over decades. Most abuse occurred before 2002. The scale will shape debate over child protection and support for survivors.
