UK PM Burnham says rejoining EU is among options

Prime Minister Andy Burnham said on 30 September 2026 that rejoining the EU is among options for a better UK-EU relationship. Speaking on BBC's Today programme, he listed alternatives from status quo to customs union and single market membership. He said the options need assessment of what is doable, with options to be outlined at a November UK-EU summit.
