Conservatives pledge to keep state pension triple lock

Conservative deputy leader Alex Burghart said his party would keep the triple lock on the state pension. The policy means pensions rise each year by inflation, average earnings or 2.5%, whichever is highest. Burghart said pensioners were a 'special case' as they could no longer work to raise their income.
