FBI Co-Deputy Director Andrew Bailey to Step Down After Year

FBI co-deputy director Andrew Bailey announced Sept. 28 he will step down after about a year and return to family in Missouri. The former Missouri attorney general began serving alongside Dan Bongino in September 2025, later with Christopher Raia. Bailey thanked Director Kash Patel, Trump and Attorney General Todd Blanche. Patel publicly thanked Bailey for dedicated service.
