Top FBI Leader Is Leaving to Go Home

Andrew Bailey is leaving as one of two second-in-commands at the FBI, the national police, he said Sept. 28 after about a year to rejoin family in Missouri. Missouri's former top lawyer started September 2025 with Dan Bongino, later Christopher Raia. He thanked chief Kash Patel, Trump and top lawyer Todd Blanche. Patel publicly thanked him for his dedicated service.
