Thousands block Drumcree march in first approved parade since 1998

Thousands of protesters blocked 35 Orangemen from marching down Garvaghy Road in Portadown on 27 September 2026. The High Court had ruled in the early hours that a Parades Commission decision allowing the Drumcree march had to be respected, the first approval since 1998. Residents, supporters and political leaders held the road.
