Venezuela Frees 39 Political Prisoners After Interim Government-Opposition Talks

Venezuela freed 39 political dissidents between Friday and Saturday from prisons across the country, monitor Justicia, Encuentro y Perdon reported. The releases followed Friday's second-round talks between the opposition and the interim government led by Delcy Rodriguez. Washington approved the talks after the U.S. military removal of Nicolas Maduro in January.
