10-year Treasury yield hits 5.106%, highest since 2007

The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield jumped 13.89 basis points — hundredths of a percent — to 5.106% on Sept. 23, Reuters reported, its highest since 2007 and biggest daily rise since April 2025. Higher long-term yields tend to lift mortgage and loan rates. I'd watch whether it holds above 5%.
