Mamdani says Netanyahu used UN speech to 'sanitize genocide of Palestinians'

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used his Sept. 24 address to the UN General Assembly to 'sanitize genocide of Palestinians.' Netanyahu had singled out Mamdani by name in the speech. That direct clash between a prime minister and host-city mayor is rare for General Debate diplomacy.
