Mamdani Says Netanyahu Used UN Address to 'Sanitize Genocide'

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of using his Sept. 24 UN General Assembly speech — the annual gathering of world leaders — to 'sanitize genocide of Palestinians.' Netanyahu had named Mamdani in the address. Such open sparring between a prime minister and host-city mayor is unusual during General Debate.
