Government rules out dog licences in Great Britain

Ministers said dog owners in England, Wales and Scotland will not have to pay for a licence. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said it would not introduce a licensing scheme, as it published the Responsible Dog Ownership taskforce report on 24 September. Owners in Northern Ireland still require a licence.
