11-year-old boy dies after face and neck shooting in Norwest

An 11-year-old boy shot in the face and neck inside a Norwest unit died at about 8pm Thursday. Police found him after being called to Fairway Drive at about 5pm Monday. Paramedics treated him at the scene before transfer to Westmead children's hospital, where he remained critical. The death shifts the investigation from critical injury to fatal shooting.
