Davey pledges £15,000 tax-free allowance in Lib Dem election offer

Sir Ed Davey said in his party conference speech the Liberal Democrats would fight the next general election on cutting taxes for millions of workers. He said a Lib Dem government would raise the personal allowance and employee National Insurance threshold to £15,000. He said the 40p threshold would rise to £56,000, costing £17bn and saving 'most taxpayers' £680.
