Rolf de Heer named jury president for 39th Tokyo festival

Australian director Rolf de Heer will preside over the international competition jury at the 39th Tokyo International Film Festival, Variety reported. The festival runs Oct. 26 to Nov. 4 in Tokyo, according to Variety. De Heer won Venice prizes for 'Bad Boy Bubby' and a Cannes Un Certain Regard prize for 'Ten Canoes,' Variety reported.
