Lib Dems promise £15,000 tax-free threshold

Sir Ed Davey said in his party conference speech the Liberal Democrats would fight the next general election on cutting taxes for millions of workers. He said a Lib Dem government would raise the personal allowance and employee NI threshold to £15,000. He said the 40p income tax threshold would rise to £56,000, costing £17bn and saving 'most taxpayers' £680.
