Labour candidate Warrick Cleine withdraws from 2026 election

Warrick Cleine has withdrawn as a Labour candidate for the 2026 election, vacating No. 30 on the party list. Leader Chris Hipkins said on 22 September Cleine, chief executive of KPMG's Vietnam and Cambodia division, could no longer commit to campaigning or relocate from Vietnam. Hipkins said the decision was Cleine's, who cited changed circumstances.
