Labour candidate Cleine withdraws from 2026 race

Warrick Cleine has left Labour’s lineup for the 2026 election, vacating No. 30 on its list for seats in Parliament. Leader Chris Hipkins said on 22 September Cleine, who runs KPMG’s Vietnam and Cambodia arm, could not campaign or shift from Vietnam. Hipkins said Cleine made the decision, citing changed circumstances.
