Palace to sell Lacroix to Chelsea for roughly triple what they paid two years ago

Crystal Palace signed Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg in August 2024 for an initial £15.5m. Two years on, Fabrizio Romano confirmed a £52m deal with Chelsea — roughly triple the outlay. Lacroix, 26, was vice-captain, a Conference League winner and a France World Cup squad member in that time. The medical is expected within 24 hours, per BBC Sport.
