US imposes 12.5% tariff on all New Zealand exports

The US has imposed a 12.5% tariff on all New Zealand exports under a Section 301 trade measure targeting forced labour, replacing a 10% temporary surcharge. US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said the tariffs address imports made with forced labour. New Zealand rejects that its exports involve forced labour, and no public evidence of violations in its supply chains has been presented.
