Aberdeen granted permanent alcohol licence at Pittodrie, pints available from 1 August opener

Aberdeen will sell alcohol at Pittodrie from the season opener against Hearts on 1 August, after Aberdeen City Council granted a permanent licence. Sales are limited to the Richard Donald Stand Lower concourse for matches classed as "lower risk non-category CIR" — high-risk fixtures are excluded. Chief executive Alan Burrows said the club is "pleased," citing positive fan feedback from earlier trials.
