Dunedin Set as Final Landfall for 2028 Total Solar Eclipse

On 22 July 2028, Dunedin, New Zealand, will be the last place on Earth to witness a total solar eclipse — when the Moon fully blocks the Sun. None has been visible there since 1163, before human settlement in New Zealand. Hotels are already sold out two years ahead. Roughly 35,000 visitors are expected in a city of 130,000.
