Dunedin, New Zealand, Will Be the Last Place on Earth to See a Total Solar Eclipse in 2028
On 22 July 2028, Dunedin, New Zealand, will be the final spot on Earth where the Moon completely covers the Sun, turning day to darkness. The last time this happened there was 1163 — before people even lived in New Zealand. Hotels are already full two years early. About 35,000 visitors are expected in a city of 130,000.
