Airbnb plans AI travel agent for first half of 2027

Airbnb will launch an AI travel agent in the first half of 2027, according to its Q3 shareholder letter published November 5, 2026. CEO Brian Chesky said general-purpose AI agents are not best suited to travel planning. The agent will help guests plan and book trips, and Airbnb expects it to eventually cover hotels, services and experiences.
