Airbnb plans an AI travel agent for the first half of 2027

Airbnb says it will launch an AI travel agent in the first half of 2027, according to its Q3 shareholder letter published November 5, 2026. CEO Brian Chesky said general-purpose AI agents are not best suited for travel planning. The agent will help guests plan and book trips, and Airbnb expects it to eventually cover hotels, services and experiences.
