Luxon rules out NZ First's Michael Laws as minister over comments about women

National leader Christopher Luxon has ruled out NZ First candidate Michael Laws serving as a minister in a future government. Laws made comments about women in the Opportunity Party on his online talk show, The Platform, on 29 October. Luxon called them "stupid, absolutely stupid." NZ First leader Winston Peters said Laws would be told off but not sacked as a candidate.
