NZ First candidate Michael Laws made sexist on-air remarks about Opportunity Party women during the 2026 election campaign. The remarks included comment on the length of Opportunity member Kayla Kingdon-Bebb's dress. Laws' comments were reported on 3 November. Opportunity leader Qiulae Wong said "It makes my skin crawl." Christopher Luxon said the comments were "Stupid, absolutely stupid".
