Split-vote campaign urging National and ACT pairing draws National complaint

A businessman's Split Your Vote campaign urges voters to give National their electorate vote and ACT their party vote, 1News reported on 30 October. ACT and NZ First approved the campaign, according to 1News, and National has lodged a complaint about it. Split votes are legal under MMP, the mixed-member proportional system. The election is on 7 November.
