FORM/Kouichi Kimura Architects has completed Minimalist House, a 73-square-metre home for one occupant in Shiga prefecture, Japan, the architecture website Dezeen reported on 29 October 2026. Built from stacked cubes of corrugated metal and black render, it sits on a hill overlooking Lake Biwa. Its street-facing front is almost entirely blank, while interiors open toward the lake.
